Outdoor learning at its best

Since 2011, the team at EdVenture has been providing children and their families with unique summer camp experiences in Niseko, Hokkaido.
Our programs see children connect from all over the world to play and discover in nature, all the while being in a safe, outdoor environment where they can learn and thrive. Each day with EdVenture looks a little different. However, you can always expect to find elements of nature, lots of outdoor activities, and a whole heap of fun in your experience.

Be sure to check out our accommodation packages! Enjoy discounts and perks when reserving kids camp and accommodation together.

Unique Options for all ages

Summer Programs

Our Family and Moiwa Programs run for 5 days, Monday through Friday, from June to August. They are best suited to kids who are comfortable with conversational English, and families who would like to experience Niseko's natural playground together. The Shizen Program runs for 3 days from July to August and is best suited to kids who have little exposure to English, and for families who are looking to immerse themselves in an English environment while enjoying the outdoors in Niseko. All programs start off at The Orchards, and kids in the Shizen Program will move to Country Resort to enjoy fun, hands-on activities. Shizen, Moiwa, and Yotei Program kids will enjoy lunch together, Family Program participants will need to get lunch on their own. Camp pick up and drop off is not provided by EdVenture.

Thursday - Friday is the overnight camping trip and a nearby campground. Parents join for this part of the camp (Shizen, not included. Yotei kids will join on their own) and will need to arrange transportation if joining on the Family or Moiwa Program.  This is a great way to finish up the week and explore a new part of Hokkaido, try new outdoor experiences like fly-fishing or SUPing. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast are included for this overnight trip.  First time putting up a tent? No worries! Our camp mentors will be around to assist if needed. Sleeping bags are available for rent for extra charge, but please reserve in advance. Additional family members are also welcome to join on the overnight camping trip at additional cost.

Our Family and Moiwa Programs run for 5 days, Monday through Friday, from June to August in Summer. They are best suited to kids who are comfortable with conversational English, and families who would like to experience Niseko's natural playground together.

Days 1-3 of these camps are based onsite at The Orchards, where parents will arrive with their children at 9am each morning. These days consist of fun, educational activities that are designed to develop kids' confidence, curiosity, and love for the outdoors. Family Program kids do daily activities together with their parents and go back to their accommodation for lunch, while Moiwa kids experience these 3 days independently and have lunch at The Orchards. Some activities may require transport offsite (such as rafting, a farm experience or ice cream making), which will need to be provided by parents for kids in the Family Program. Transport for these activities is provided for kids in the Moiwa Program.

Days 4-5 of these camps are an overnight camping trip at a nearby campground. Parents join in for this part of the camp (unless the Yotei Add-On is chosen), and are required to provide transportation to and from the campground. The overnight camping trip is a great way to explore a new part of Hokkaido, and try new outdoor experiences like flyfishing or SUPing. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast are included for this overnight trip, and it's the perfect opportunity for kids to share what they've learned over the course of the week with parents and camp mentors.

The Family and Moiwa Program conclude back at The Orchards on Friday afternoon, where we say our goodbyes and get excited about next Summer's camp!
