Make lasting family memories with our hands-on, English immersive summer camps.
Our programs are designed for children and young teenagers 3-14 years of age, and led by a team of enthusiastic educators.
Since 2011, the team at EdVenture has been providing children and their families with unique summer camp experiences in Niseko, Hokkaido.
Our programs see children connect from all over the world to play and discover in nature, all the while being in a safe, outdoor environment where they can learn and thrive.
Each day with EdVenture looks a little different. However, you can always expect to find elements of nature, lots of outdoor activities, and a whole heap of fun in your experience.
Our Family and Moiwa Programs run for 5 days, Monday through Friday from June to August in Summer. They are best suited to kids who are comfortable with conversational English, and families who would like to experience Niseko's natural playground together.
Days 1-3 of these camps are based onsite at The Orchards, where parents will arrive with their children at 9am each morning. These days consist of fun, educational activities that are designed to develop kids' confidence, curiosity and love for the outdoors. Family Program kids do daily activities together with their parents and go back to their accommodation for lunch, while Moiwa kids experience these 3 days independently and have lunch at The Orchards. Some activities may require transport offsite (such as rafting, a farm experience or ice cream making), which will need to be provided by parents for kids in the Family Program. Transport for these activities is provided for kids in the Moiwa Program.
Days 4-5 of these camps are an overnight camping trip at a nearby campground. Parents join in for this part of the camp (unless the Yotei Add-On is chosen), and are required to provide transportation to and from the campground. The overnight camping trip is a great way to explore a new part of Hokkaido, and try new outdoor experiences like flyfishing or SUPing. Lunch, dinner and breakfast are included for this overnight trip, and it's the perfect opportunity for kids to share what they've learned over the course of the week with parents and camp mentors.
The Family and Moiwa Program conclude back at The Orchards on Friday afternoon where we say our goodbyes and get excited for next Summer's camp!
For families who wish to spend quality time together. As our most popular program, we combine family and child-only activities throughout the week.
For children who are looking for a little more adventure. Children enjoy activities independent of their parents or guardians for 3 days. Our Yotei-Add on gives kids a chance to experience camp independently for 5 days.
For children ready to enjoy a full week of camp on their own. Yotei Add-On turns the Moiwa Program into 5 days of fully independent camp (no parents) Each day is a new adventure tackled independently.
The Shizen Program is a short camp that runs for 3 days, Monday through Wednesday from July to August in Summer. This camp is best suited to kids who have little exposure to English, and for families who are looking to immerse themselves in an English environment while enjoying the outdoors in Niseko.
Days 1-3 of the Shizen Program is based onsite at Country Resort, where parents will arrive with their children at 9am each morning. These days consist of fun, educational activities that are designed to develop kids' confidence, curiosity and love for nature. The activities are operated 100% in English with native-level camp mentors for a totally immersive experience (bilingual mentors are available for assistance). Shizen kids are provided with a healthy lunch to enjoy together with other campers during the day.
At the end of each day, kids return to their accommodation to share their experience with parents, rest up and get ready for the next day of adventure!
Note: If your child is already comfortable with conversational English, we recommend trying our Family or Moiwa Programs.
For families looking to try EdVenture for the first time in an immersive English environment.
