Where the Adventure Starts: A Look at EdVenture’s Home Bases

EdVenture Niseko’s summer camps combine outdoor adventure, creative learning, and nature-based play at The Orchards and Country Resort.

EdVenture Niseko’s summer camps combine outdoor adventure, creative learning, and nature-based play, all shaped by the summer landscapes of Niseko.

Camp days begin at one of two locations, each with its own role in the EdVenture experience.

EdVenture Den, The Orchards

Our Program Locations

EdVenture operates from two main locations, with each one supporting different programs tailored to various age groups and session types.

  • The Orchards Niseko is the starting point for our 5-day programs:

    • Family Program (ages 3–8)
    • Moiwa Program (ages 6–9)
  • Country Resort is the home base for:

    • Shizen Day Camp (ages 3–8)
    • Yotei Overnight Residential Camp (ages 10–12)
    • Rishiri Overnight Residential Camp (ages 13–17)

Check-In: Where to Start Your Day

Campers check in at one of two locations, depending on their program:

  • Family & Moiwa campers start at the Dragonfly Deck, located in front of The Orchards reception
  • Shizen, Yotei & Rishiri campers begin their day at the EdVenture Center, just across the road from Country Resort reception.

Our team is on hand at both sites to help campers get settled and ready for the day!

The Orchards Niseko

Dragonfly Deck, The Orchards

Once you've checked in, here’s what you can expect at The Orchards:

  • EdVenture Den: Right next to check-in, the Den is an indoor space used throughout the week. Morning warm-ups and group games often start here.

  • Tanuki Trampolines: Tucked behind the Caldera building, this supervised area is always a camper favorite. Kids can bounce safely and freely whenever it’s open.

  • Lily Pad Pond: By the pond at The Orchards, this area includes picnic tables and space for relaxed outdoor activities. Campers often use it for arts and crafts, language games, and other creative projects.

  • EdVenture Forest: A trail at the back of the resort leads to a forest hideaway used for shelter building, team games, and the slackline course. Campers spend time here connecting with nature and working together in small groups.

Country Resort

EdVenture Burrow, Country resort

Once campers check in, most activities at Country Resort take place at the EdVenture Center and surrounding outdoor areas.

  • EdVenture Center: This purpose-built facility features a dining hall, an upstairs activity room, and spaces for evening events, including movie nights, carnival games, and other group activities. These are a key part of the overnight camp experience.

  • EdVenture Burrow: A short walk from the EdVenture Center, this outdoor area includes a playground, a large open field, and space for group games, sports, and creative challenges.

  • Camper Lodges: Overnight campers stay in two modern lodges, each with five bedrooms containing two bunk beds per room. Each lodge includes a private bathroom, shower, and closet space. The lodges provide a comfortable place to relax and spend time with friends after a full day of activities.

EdVenture locations are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage meaningful collaboration through time spent outdoors. With the support of experienced mentors and spaces that encourage exploration, campers head home each day with new skills, new friends, and a deeper connection to Niseko and the world around them.
