Overview of position:
As a summer camp mentor, you play the roles of a role model, friend, mentor, and hero to campers. Setting a positive example in areas such as cleanliness, punctuality, rules, and sportsmanship is integral to your role.

Work hours:
Hours range from 8 to 40 per week, with shifts of 6–8 hours per day. Schedules run up to 6 days per week, with one full day off guaranteed.
Visa eligibility and requirement:
Must have or be eligible to obtain a Japanese Working Holiday Visa, or already have the legal right to work in Japan
Primary responsibilities:
- Lead the way in our daily adventures, inspiring kids to try new things and push their boundaries.
- Stay alert and proactive, putting child well-being at the top of your priority list every single day.
- Bring your own unique skills to the table to plan and run sessions that spark curiosity and learning.
- Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels like part of the group.
- Help the team with daily setup, pack-down, and housekeeping to keep our operations running smoothly.
Salary and benefits:
Compensation: ¥1,500 – ¥1,700 per hour, determined based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in working with children in an outdoor education or educational-based setting.
- Hold a valid Japanese driver's license or be eligible to obtain an International Driving Permit.
- Passion for the outdoors and nature.
- Ability to lead or assist in various recreational activities.
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Effective communication and collaboration with a variety of ages and skill levels, from young children to teens.
- Desire and ability to thrive in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
- Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills such as Japanese or other languages are a plus.
- Able to provide an up-to-date criminal record background check from the country of residence.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Interest in film and/or photography is an advantage.
