EdVenture Winter Camps offer a unique camp experience for children during their time in Niseko, Japan. The program is designed to allow children and mentors to make the most of the incredible powder snow, both on and off the mountain, all whilst building confidence, learning new skills and having fun.
About the Role
As part of the Educational Group Animation Team, you'll create and lead interactive and engaging activities for educational groups visiting Niseko. Your focus will be on providing enriching experiences and facilitating learning in a fun and immersive way. This role primarily takes place in the evening, where you'll be responsible for designing and implementing evening programs and events tailored to the groups' interests, ensuring a memorable and educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead educational activities for visiting groups.
- Ensure a positive and interactive experience for participants.
- Tailor activities to the interests and needs of each group.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with group leaders and participants.
- You will assist with housekeeping and general upkeep to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for all campers.
Key Qualities
- Experience in educational programming or activity planning.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and entertain diverse groups.
- Creativity and flexibility in planning and executing activities.
- Must hold a valid Japanese driver's license or be able to obtain an International Driving Permit.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills such as Japanese or other languages are a plus.

Salary
- The position is based on qualifications and experience, with a starting rate of ¥1,600 per hour
- Late November until the end of March
- Depending on customer demand and reservations, working hours can range anywhere from 8 to 40 hours per week, including weekends. You will have at least one full day off each week. (6-8 Hours per day, up to 6 days per week)
